Landscape and Seascape Character Assessment Hub

The guidance documents ‘An Approach to Landscape Character Assessment’ (2014) and ‘An Approach to Seascape Character Assessment’ (2012) are now more than 10 years old and need to be updated and refocused. The update will make the guidance fit for purpose for the next 10 years and drive positive landscape and seascape change in the future.
In February and March 2024 an online survey was conducted to get feedback on how Landscape Character Assessments (LCAs), are used and applied. and gathered information on the experience of using the LCA Approach document.
