Workshop on Seascape Character Assessment – March 2025

A stakeholder workshop for both users and authors of Seascape Character Assessment will be held on March 12th 2025. The workshop will review potential updates to the 2012 ‘Seascape Character Assessment Approach’ document and examine the opportunities for future integration of this and the ‘Approach to Landscape Character Assessment’ (2014). The workshop will also gather information on the application of Seascape Character Assessment and how to encourage its wider use in driving positive change in future.

Workshops on Landscape Character Assessment – 2024

Workshops for both users and authors of the Landscape Character Assessment were held in March 2024. The workshops explored in more detail issues raised through an online survey. This included reviewing suggested updates to the 2014 guidance highlighted in the survey and gathering information on the use of LCA and examples of good practice. The workshops explored the potential use and application of LCA to understand how to encourage its wider use in driving positive landscape change in future.
